Classes for NYC Families
Parent University seeks to educate and empower families as partners, advocates, and lifelong educators in their student's education through free courses, resources, events, and activities.
Parent University serves all families, from early childhood through adulthood. Even if you are not a parent, we encourage you to become involved with Parent University. With an expanding course list Parent University is ready to support you.
Family Welcome Centers
Due to COVID-19, all Family Welcome Center’s physical locations are temporarily closed, but our staff members are available to support remotely.

Need a school for your child? Have other questions? Here’s what to do:
- Step 1: Fill out this Student Registration Form. Providing this information will help us help you more quickly!
- Step 2: Identify your local Family Welcome Center: this is determined by your school district.
- To learn your school district, enter your home address here(Open external link) or call 311.
- Now find your local Family Welcome Center and its email address in the table below.
- Step 3: Email your Family Welcome Center directly
- Be sure to attach your completed Student Registration Form.
- If you are new or returning to New York City public schools, or your address has changed, be sure to ALSO include the documents in this Pre-Registration Checklist.
In your email, please let us know:
- Your child's first name, last name, date of birth, and OSIS number
- If you need support in another language
- If you (the child's parent/guardian) are deaf or hard-of-hearing
Please do NOT include any photographs of students with your message.
District 75
District 75 provides highly specialized instructional support for students with significant challenges, such as:
- Autism Spectrum Disorders
- Significant cognitive delays
- Emotional disturbances
- Sensory impairments
- Multiple disabilities
